About Lisa Hynes

I’ve been a gardener all of my life… you could say that I was born with green hands rather than green thumbs. I went to school at SMCC in Maine for Horticulture and met my husband Jeff during that time. We started a gardening business together…For 20 plus years, we created new landscapes, and then moved onto installing raised bed vegetable gardens for many clients. I had a passion for garden design and making yards beautiful, and Jeff was skilled with creative stonework and landscape carpentry.

We installed a high tunnel greenhouse at our home in Exeter, NH, which I used for growing vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers in the warmth of the greenhouse. We had a small farm stand and seedling sale every spring with lots of plants going to the local community.

We made the decision to sell our house in 2024 and move to Alton, NH to live by Lake Winnipesaukee, which became a reality for us late in the year. We said goodbye to dear friends and garden clients with well wishes for our next adventure.

I’ve decided to become a Certified Gardenary Garden Coach so that I could help more people grow their own food with raised bed kitchen gardens. I offer consulting, coaching, and education through workshops and classes, focusing on the ideal set up for kitchen gardens, herb gardens, salad gardens, as well as pollinator perennial gardens and edible landscapes. I also offer kitchen garden design and planting plans, as well as installations for kitchen gardens.
